Holiday Fun

WARNING..WARNING..SUPER LONG POST


I've really been trying to find the time to publish a year-end update, but just haven't been able to get myself motivated enough to do it. The more FUN we have TOGETHER the further and further I get behind. So I will probably post alot of PICTURES, maybe a couple VIDEOS (if i can figure it out), and just quick notes about what's been going on.


So we'll start with HALLOWEEN. Once we got all dressed up, we called Cody (he was working) and met up with him. We first went to Monroe to visit with our Family and Friends over there. Then back to Richfield to see the family there. I'd have to say, I have the cutest little LION and BUTTERFLY. Macie loved her costume, Treyson on the other hand, not so much. We made it through the night though and that's what counts. (refer to ward party pictures)


THANKSGIVING was alot of fun. We went to Grandma Hansen's this year. It was good to visit with all of our family that was there. Macie loves to play with the my cousins, old and young. She loves them. Good FOOD, good COMPANY, and Lots of FUN, what more can you ask for?!

Just an FYI~Trey got his 1ST TOOTH the day after Thanksgiving, and he was so good about it. When my mom told me she had felt it, I nearly started to cry. With Macie a 1st tooth was a milestone, but with Trey it just made me so sad to think that my BABY was getting so BIG already. Since then he has had 3 more come in and is working hard on the 4th. He's been a little crabby, but nothing we can't handle :)

This CHRISTMAS season was absolutely WONDERFUL. We are reminded of the Birth of our Savior nearly daily at our house. Macie loves the NATIVITY and has one out to play with all year round. We visited SANTA, played in the SNOW, PLAYED with COUSINS, went to a few PARTIES, and enjoyed all the TIME we got to spend with our FAMILIES. We are so BLESSED to have such a WONDERFUL FAMILY. Macie and Trey loved SANTA. We got to visit with him a couple of times before Christmas. We saw him for the 1st time on Main Street at Santa's Shop. Then we saw him at the Fire Dept. Party. This is just a Tradition that we have had ever since my Dad has been a Fireman. They always get a PRESENT and a bag of TREATS there.



CHRISTMAS EVE we went to Grandma Barton's up in MANTI. Macie loves to go to Grandma Barton's house, cause she lives by the TEMPLE. At Grandma's we have DINNER, VISIT with family, tell the NATIVITY Story, have a little TALENT show and then have a Gift Exchange. Grandma Barton gives the Grandkids and Great-Grandkids Pajamas each year. Macie's and Trey's were so cute. They love Grandma Barton and we are so blessed to have such a SWEET Grandma.

Cody had to wake Macie up CHRISTMAS DAY, so we could open PRESENTS and get our day going. She told us that she really just wanted to SLEEP some more. One of these years we will get the CHRISTMAS MAGIC at our house. However, the kids had alot of fun opening their presents. We then went to Grandma Hansen's for BREAKFAST, then to Grandma Sherri and Papa Rog's to visit and open MORE presents. Later that night we went over to Grandpa and Grandma Trejo's. Cody's family came down that night and so we hung out over there and played GAMES, had lots of TREATS and visited. Cody had to work all day, but was able to be with us unless there was a call.

The next day we had the our CHRISTENSEN FAMILY party. Joni had to work, so we partied out at the Comfort Inn Hotel so that she would be able to party with us. We were all there. It was so much fun to be TOGETHER as a FAMILY. We had DINNER and then went SWIMMING! Macie had a blast swimming with Uncle Mike and Bridget, and Uncle Bear and Tearin. Macie loves to play with Bridget. They really have so much fun together and get along so well. Thanks to everyone for coming and spending the day with us. Later that night Uncle Brian, Aunt Debbie and kids arrived from ARIZONA. Yes, they left the COMFORTABLE Temperatures of AZ and joined us for a UTAH WINTER. I had to agree with Aunt Debbie when she said it was our turn to go to Arizona during the WINTER :)

FUN WITH COUSINS~ Macie had alot of fun playing with the cousins while they were here. We were able to Decorate COOKIES (Thanks Keirra), play in the SNOW, build a SNOWMAN, go SWIMMING and just PLAY, PLAY, PLAY. It is fun to have cousins that are the same age as my own kids.

SLEDDING~This was a new EXPERIENCE for me as a parent. I had been SLEDDING myself but to send my 2 year old down a hill by herself was a little scary for me. Macie absolutely LOVES to SLED!! She was GRINNING the whole time we were out there. She went the very 1st time all by HERSELF. She did sled with Aunt Shelly and Cody a few times. She had an absolute BLAST. She also love being PULLED behind the 4-wheeler. She was GIGGLING and SCREAMING the whole time. She did remind Cody a couple of times to "BE CAREFUL DADDY", so CUTE. Macie is so much fun and such a JOY to our family.

Our 2nd Sledding Trip we went up to the Sand Ledges. Aunt JoJo came with us, and when we got there Uncle Bear passed us on his way home from Ice Fishing. So he ended up staying and Sledding with us too. It was alot of fun to have them with us. Treyson even went SLEDDING for his 1st time. I know, I know we are CRAZY parents. He really wasn't too SURE about it, but the look on his FACE was so cute. It is fun to relive the fun times of CHILDHOOD, but I can definitely say I am getting a little bit too OLD for some things, but it sure is FUN.

Well, I think that has us caught up for now. We hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Christmas and is enjoying the NEW YEAR.
